Areas of Speciality

Marriage & Family

Relationships and family dynamics are ever changing and can often present challenges. Whether you are preparing for marriage, walking through divorce, striving to strengthen relationships, or are in need of relational healing, therapy can offer a refuge and resource to improve communication, foster understanding, and address underlying issues. Through guided discussions, couples and families can explore their dynamics, learn effective conflict resolution strategies, and improve emotional connection. This process not only helps individuals express their needs and feelings but also builds empathy and strengthens connections, leading to healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

Anxiety & Depression

Anxiety and depression can affect many areas of life, from sleep and work performance to personal relationships. For preteens and teenagers, the pressures of school, social dynamics, sports, and growing expectations can feel especially overwhelming, leaving them anxious, stressed, and unsure how to cope. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, or stress yourself or you're a parent concerned about your child, therapy offers a safe space for healing, self-expression, and the development of practical coping strategies. Together, we can work toward restoring balance in order to navigate life's challenges with confidence and calm.

Trauma & Grief

Experiencing trauma and grief can impact our emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical well-being. For many, this leads to feelings of isolation, anxiety, and sadness.  Whether your trauma or grief stems from a painful life event, health challenges, or the loss of something you hoped for—like infertility or miscarriage—these experiences can leave leave you feeling powerless, unsafe, or unseen. Therapy provides a supportive space to process, rebuild a sense of hope, and begin the healing journey.

Adoption & Foster Care

Counseling can provide crucial support for individuals impacted by adoption and foster care by offering a safe environment to process complex emotions related to identity, loss, and belonging. Therapy can be useful for adoptive and birth parents to explore parenting, open adoption, attachment, and grief . For adoptees, therapy offers a place to navigate feelings of abandonment and adjustment, while also fostering resilience and self-acceptance. Through therapy, individuals can develop coping strategies, improve self-esteem, and cultivate healthy relationships.
